FORMER TREASURER DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Funeral Rites Held Friday For Miss Alice Adams
Miss Alice Adams, who for four years served as county treasurer here and later was chief dietitian in the Scripps Memorial hospital at La Jolla, Cal., died at La Jolla Monday of last week following an operation, according to word received here. Funeral services were held there Friday.
Miss Adams, a daughter of Hiram and Susie Adams, McMinnville pioneers, was born and received her early education here. After serving as deputy county treasurer for several years, she became county treasurer in 1915 and held office until 1918. Later she went to Seattle and then to California.
Surviving are her brother, Dr. E.M. Adams of Arlington, Wash., and sister, Mrs. Anna Lewis of Riverside, Cal.
