These photos were made for me by Billie {Wolfe} King. Andrew Day's stone is listed on a Hardin Cemetery website, as having survived the flood of 1993, which caused the loss of about 2/3 of the graves. He is listed as Andrew "A" Day, and my Andrew is "J", but these pictures show that the middle initial is actually an "R". I have believed since finding the listing a few years ago, that it was simply an error by the carver. The dates agree with Andrew J's birth date of 1823, and the fact that my great-grandmother, Jane Brewer Day, married my great-grandfather, Dr William Jones on January 1, 1857, when she was a young widow with two children, living in Ray County, MO. The children of Andrew and Jane were Lewis Edward Day and Lydia E Day Henry, both memorialized on Find a Grave.
