Maude Hair Ray Jarvis, 87, of Augusta, Ga., died Jan. 1,2009 at The Place At Martinez, Augusta Ga. Funeral service was held Jan. 4 at the Reach Out Ministries with the Rev. Don McCormack officiating. Burial was in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery (Airport). Mole Funeral Home of Barnwell was in charge of the arrangements. Ms Jarvis was born June 8,1921 in Bamberg County. She was the daughter of the late Aaron D. and Claudia Fail Hair. She was a retired registered nurse. She was predeceased by two daughters, Thelma Ray "T" Allgood and Barbara Ann Ray Dyches. Survivors include one daughter, Nell (Tom) Penley of Barnwell; two sons, Clyde (Diane) Ray and Ralph Ray of Augusta Ga.; one brother, Frankie Hair of Orangeburg; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
