Jacob Frederic was the 2nd Great Grandson of the famous Reverend Jacob Johnson who graduated from Yale University 1740, was a missionary to the Six Nation Indians. He was part of the 1st Great Awakening, New Light preacher who also studied under Rev Jedidiah Mills at Ripton, CT. He was a Revolutionary Patriot and one of the earliest settlers of the Wyoming Valley, Pa. He took part in the Wyoming Massacre in Pennsylvania, and his writings are preserved at Dartmouth College.
