Louise Marie Grider Gillis, 94, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019.
She was born on September 24, 1924 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky the daughter of Cleveland Murry Grider and Bessie Durr Warford.

Louise was a faithful and devoted member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Later in life, Louise found her home when she started working at HoneyBaked Ham in New Albany. She found so much joy in the people she worked with and will be truly missed by all that came to know her throughout her wonderful life.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband, Glenn Gillis; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.

Louise is survived by her Children, Paul Rucker, Larry G. (Peggy) Gillis, and Debra (Russell) Denison; Grandchildren, Sandra (Mark) Cook, Chad Rucker, Suzanne (Chris) Clark, Lorie (John) Merkle, Matthew Denison, and Mallory (Adam) Setty; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
