Earl 'Nile' Hicks

Nile, 91, passed away March 28, 2019 in Spanish Fork, Utah. He was born February 23, 1928 in American Fork, Utah to Royal Christian and Dora Hansen Hicks. He married Reta Sorenson February 8, 1951 in Columbus, Georgia. Nile was a brother, husband, father, grandpa, "Gramps," a friend and helping hand to many.

He is survived by his daughter Kris (Dan) Jepperson, his son Kayle (Kelly) Hicks, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren: Jayson (Kari) Pedersen and Allison, Jesse (Trina) Pedersen, Trysten, Brentley and Logan Dean, Riley (Megan) Jepperson and Bexley, Skeeter Hicks and Rowdy, Royal Hicks and Wesley, Chance Hicks, his 2 brothers: Ken (Reta) Hicks of Lehi, Utah and S Carl Hicks of Olympia, Washington. Preceded in death by his wife, his parents, 6 siblings: Avice, Morleen, Rose, D.J., Joe and Bonnie Jean; and son-in-law Bjorn 'BJ' Pedersen

We would like to thank the following for their dedication and loving care of Nile: Hearth Stone Manor of Spanish Fork, Dr. Eric Hogenson of Spanish Fork and Maple Creek Hospice of Spanish Fork.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11 AM in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 49 East 100 North, American Fork. A visitation will be held from 9:45-10:45 AM prior to the services. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery. Please share a memory at andersonmortuary.com.
