Fanny Mahone Baldwin, age 79 of 213 Woodland Ave, died July 2, 1991 in her residence. She was born in Plantersville, Ala. on October 28, 1911, raised in Newman, Ga. She was the wife of the late Monroe Glass Baldwin, daughter of Arthur P. Mahone and Isla Reed. She was a housewife and an active member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Williams Home Board, Lynchburg Woman's Club. She graduated from Georgia State Woman's College. Survivors include one son, Dr. Monroe Glass Baldwin, Jr., Lynchburg; daughter, Mrs. Richard L. (Frances) Hodges, Roanoke; sister-in-law, Mrs. W. H. Mahone, Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Monroe Glass Baldwin III, Burke; Frances Claudia Baldwin, Peter Stephen Baldwin, Sarah Larson Baldwin, all of Lynchburg; Carolyn Randolph Hodges, Elizabeth Baldwin Hodges, both of Roanoke. Funeral service will be Friday, July 5, 1991 at 11:00 a.m. at the Centenary United Methodist Church with the Rev. C. Douglas Pillow officiating. Interment in Sherwood Cemetery, Salem, Va. at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday at 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Diuguid Rivermont Chapel and other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church. The Diuguid Rivermont Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
