Funeral services for Thomas H. Ellis, Sr., 60, of Bastrop will be at 2 PM Monday, March 6, 2006 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeremy Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery.
Mr. Ellis, a retired chief mechanic for the Fire Department, and a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War passed away Saturday, March 4, 2006 at his residence.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Frank, Sr. and Olive Ellis; and by a brother, Frank Ellis, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn H. Ellis; daughters, Lisa Dardar, and Billie Jean Frost & husband Jonathan all of West Monroe, LA; son, Thomas H. Ellis, Jr. of West Monroe; sister, Patricia Hemmingway; grandchildren, Joshua Ellis, Smokey Hosea, Christopher Ellis, Jacob Ellis, DeAnna Ellis and Hannah Ellis; mother-in-law, Elsie Becker; brothers-in-law, Doyle Harris and Donny Hutson; sisters-in-law, Alice Hutson, Charlotte Harris, Jackie Shilow, and Faye Harris.
