Allen Day, 77, of Wolfe City, TX passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Clyde Cosper Home in Bonham TX. He was born in Vicksburg, MS to Virgil Vernon and Mildred Delores Day. He was saved and Baptized at the First Baptist Church in Bartlesville, OK. He was a member of Park Street Baptist Church in Greenville, TX. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, TX. He attended the University of Texas. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic.
Allen retired from Cedar Rapids Steel Transport. He enjoyed photography, travel and quilting. He was a member of the Cotton Patch Quilt Guild of Greenville for several years.
Allen is survived by his wife, Betty, two sons, David and Shannon, two sisters, Pat Cochran and Madelyn Day, brother Vernon Day and five grandchildren.
Graveside Services were held at 2:30 pm, Friday, March 29, 2019 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City. Services conducted by Rev. Johnny Hailes.
