Mrs. Milliken was the daughter of Nicholas Cobb and Desire Rogers Cobb. Both her father and her grandfather, Andrew Cobb, were Revolutionary soldiers. She was born May 8, 1803, in Limerick, Maine, and died in Fairbury, Nebraska, December 16, 1880. Mrs. Milliken was sixth in line of descent from Elder Henry Cobb, who arrived in New England in 1632. She was descended from four Mayflower passengers: John Tilley and his wife, their daughter Elizabeth, and John Howland.
Her great-great-granddaughter, Marjorie Nuckolls Mooberry, is an active member of Quivera D.A.R. Chapter. The June 23, 1935, issue of the Lincoln State Journal carried a story about Mrs. Milliken:

"With simple and impressive services, a marker at the grave of Mrs. Emme Cobb (Cram) Milliken was dedicated Wednesday afternoon by the Quivera Chapter of the D.A.R. Two selections by the Fairbury Municipal band; salute to the flag; prayer by chapter chaplain Mrs. Winora Garnsey; music by Fairbury Municipal band; greetings by chapter regent Mrs. Rosa Taylor; unveiling of marker, Mrs. Pauline Cramb Nuckolls, great-granddaughter of Mrs. Milliken; decorating of grave, Marjorie Leigh Nuckolls and Billy Cramb Nuckolls, great-great-grandchildren of Mrs. Milliken; acknowledgment, Miss Myra A. Cramb; biography, L.K. Cramb; eulogy and reminiscences, W. F. Cramb; music by band; benediction, Rev. Harry F. Huntington; taps."
