DOYLESTOWN -- George F. Fazenbaker, 69, died June 4, 2006, at Doylestown Health Care Center.
He was born March 27, 1937, in Sulley, W. Va., to Paul E. and Jennie (Kerns) Fazenbaker. He married Betty Nestor on April 20, 1963; she survives. A resident of Doylestown for 43 years, he was a member of Wadsworth Hunt Club and the National Rifle Association. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had been employed by Ohio Brass, Yoder Brothers, Consolidated FreightWay, WorldCom Telecommunications, and J.Tel Communications. He enjoyed auctions, hunting, and recycling. He loved his family and grandchildren and was the world's best Dad.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Fazenbaker, and is survived by wife, Betty Fazenbaker of Doylestown; daughter, Patricia Smith of Doylestown; sons, DeWayne Fazenbaker of Doylestown, George E. Fazenbaker of Barberton, and Gregory (Amber) Fazenbaker of Doylestown; eight grandchildren, Alesha and Crystal Smith, Ashley, Jessica, Caryssa, Justin, Tryston, and Jordynn Fazenbaker; brothers, Bill Fazenbaker of Arizona, Charles (Betty) Fazenbaker of Akron, Dewey Fazenbaker of Barberton.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 7, at 2 p.m., at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, with Rev. James Humphrey officiating. Burial at Chestnut Hill Cemetery; military honors will be conducted.
