Obituary for Rita Mae Monk
Rita Mae Monk, of Rockwall, TX, for 44 years, passed away January 20, 2018, at the age of 83. She was born January 19, 1935, in Spearsville, LA, to Walter Cleaton and Poliney Lorrain (Adcock) Boatright.

Rita is survived by her loving sons: John Monk of Royse City, TX, Steve Monk of Heath, TX, Paul Monk of Rockwall, TX, and chosen fourth son, David Petros of Heath, TX; sisters: Sue Boatright of Spearsville, LA, Claudette Hitchcock of Duncanville, TX, and Nancy Perry of Paris, TX; grandchildren: Melissa Lombardo, John Karl Monk, Maria Monk and Andy Monk; and six great grandchildren: Kylie, Breck, Reagan, Carter, Aden and Niko. She was preceded in death by brothers: Dub, Heas, Jack and Billy Herman Boatright; and sisters: Mignon Rockett and Shelby Boatright.

Funeral service will be held 10:00am Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Brother Buddy Boatright officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00pm at Pecan Grove Historical Cemetery located at the corner of Industrial Blvd., and Highway 5 in McKinney, TX. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
