Mrs. Sarah L. Raffensberger, wife of Howard T. Raffensberger, RD6, died last night in the Carlisle Hospital. She was 65 years old.
Mrs. Raffensberger wan born In Newville on Jan. 22, 1892, the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Whistler Barrick.
She was a member of the Methodist Salem Church, Silver Springs. She had a stand at the old market house for 32 years and had a stall in the new Carlisle Market.
In addition to her husband, survivors are four children, Mrs. Clarence Anderson, RD2; Willard P. Raffensberger, RD6: Paul E. Raffensberger, RD6; Mrs. Glenn S. Myers, RD2; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Paul Eppley. RD1, Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Samuel Myers, Newville; a brother, Ralph Barrick, RD, Newville.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at the Shulenberger and Roth Funeral Home, 169 West High Street, with Rev. Paul C. Snyder officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Church Cemetary (sic). Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening.
