COOK, Ethel Emily - 104, Head of St. Margarets Bay, died September 2, 1999, in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in New Romney, County of Kent, England, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Emily (Cooper) Dray. She came to Halifax in October, 1917, as a war bride and as a resident of Barrington Street survived the Halifax Explosion in December of the same year. She moved to the St. Margarets Bay area in 1933 with her family, were she resided for 66 years. Surviving are son, Henry; daughter, Margery Boyle, both of Head of St. Margarets Bay; sister, Bessie Boulden, Fetchem, England; 19 grandchildren; and a number of great and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred R. Sr.; daughter, Eliza ?Lila? Dauphinee; son, Alfred R. Jr.; three sisters and three brothers.
