Mossie worked many years as the school maintenance supervisor for St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where he was known as "Mr. Mossie". He loved interacting and mentoring the children, and many times he participated in school activities, including the talent show, where he imitated Elvis [Presley]. Mossie enjoyed football, hiking, camping, and movies.
Mossie was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He will be dearly missed by his mother, Carolyn (Silva) Prescott of McAlester, Okla., siblings David Prescott (Donna) of Krebs, Okla., and Dian Osburn (Terry) of Norman, Okla., uncle Paul Silva (Pam) of McAlester, Okla., niece and nephew, other relatives, and many friends, including special friends Vicky Kranski and her son Lawrence M. Benzmiller.
A memorial mass will be at 8 a.m. on Fri., March 29, 2019, at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers, Ark. A graveside service will be at 2 pm Sun., March 31, 2019, at St. Vincent's Cemetery in Rogers [Avoca], Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul School, 1315 W. Cypress St., Rogers, Ark. 72758.
