Tressa M. Anderson, generally known to her friends and family as Patty Hagen, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and friends in Mesa, AZ on April 27, 2017 at the age of 97. She was born on September 19, 1919 in Clontarf, Minnesota to Benjamin and Evelina (Chevalier) Burns. She was united in marriage to H. Leslie Anderson on March 28, 1938. Patty loved her role as wife and mother and, while living in Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Minnesota, she and Leslie raised four children. After the death of her husband in 1977, Patty moved to Chandler, Arizona. On September 29, 1979, she was united in marriage to Edwin Hagen and became step-mother to three additional children. In addition to being a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Patty was an inspiration to everyone she met. She enjoyed camping with her family, involvement in community affairs and volunteering at her local community center. She received numerous awards over the years, including the City of Tempe All American Woman Award on October 27, 1985.

Patty is preceded in death by her husbands and parents, and by her brothers, Gabriel Burns, Bernard Burns and Benedict Burns and by her sisters Evelina Burns and Bernice (Burns) Feuchtenberger. She is survived by her children, Suzen Rossini, JoAnn (Floyd) Grau, Thomas (Mary Jo) Anderson, and Annette (George) Anas; her step-children Ron (Ava) Hagen, Ken (Joyce) Hagen, and Larry (Edie) Hagen; and by her 22 grandchildren and 62 great- grandchildren.
