Dr. Lloyd E. Gary, 85, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away Friday, September 20th, at his home. Dr. Gary was born on April 26th, 1928, in Eupora, Mississippi, to J. O. Gary and Mary Bailey Gary. He graduated from the University of Mississippi, in 1951, with a B.A. in History and a Master degree in education. He began his medical education at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, graduating in 1955. Following his graduation in 1955, he pursued his residency at the University of Mississippi Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi in Obstetrics and Gynecology, until 1955. Lloyd served in the US Navy and Reserve at the Beaufort Naval Hospital in Beaufort, South Carolina, on the Paris Island Marine Base from 1959 to 1961. He was in private practice from 1961 to 1997 and delivered thousands of babies throughout the years at Wadley and St. Michaels hospitals.

Dr. Gary was proceeded in death by his parents, J.O. and Mary Bailey Gary, his brothers James and Coneus Gary, his sisters Alto Tyson, Jimmie Batton and Mary Hayden.
