Alexander S. Brown died Sunday morning at 3:55 o'clock at the home of his mother-in-law at 937 North Fourth street of a complication of diseases after an illness of three weeks. Mr. Brown was born in Mendon, Ill., November 23, 1868 and was therefore aged 45 years, 4 months and 19 days at the time of his death. He came to Quincy eight years ago and had been employed at the Electric Wheel works. His wife died three years ago. He was a member of the Quincy aerie of Eagles and of the Modern Woodmen camp at Mendon. He is survived by four children, Mrs. Rita Walker of Quincy; William T. Brown of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Furman Brown and Miss Bertha Brown of Quincy: his mother, Mrs. E. Brown of Mendon, two sisters, Mrs. George Rust of Quincy and Mrs. William Kells of Mendon, one brother, Clarence Brown of Minneapolis, Minn., and four grandchildren.
The funeral will take place from the home of the daughter, Mrs. Rita Walker at 918 Vine street Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, the Eagles having charge.
