Funeral for Charles E. Carlton, 90, 4535 SE Center St., a retired Portland school teacher, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Edward Holman & Son with private committal at Riverview Abbey. Mr. Carlton died Tuesday. He was born July 24, 1867, in St. David, Ill., and was a graduate of Western Normal College at Shenandoah, Iowa.
From 1915 through 1936, when he retired, he taught at the old High School of Commerce.
The family suggests that any remembrance be in the form of contribution to the American Cancer Society.
Three sons, Fred E., Portland, James W., San Francisco, and Robert O., Seattle, survive.
