On Saturday, Nov. 8, Patricia Rose Reeves passed peacefully and went to be with the Lord. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful she was and how blessed we all were to have her in our lives.
Patricia always had a smile on her face, was a joyful spirit, selfless, humble and compassionate. She was always so thankful for all the joys in her life, and always found the silver lining and triumphed in every challenge life gave her. She had a servant's heart and loved to serve and help her family. Patricia and her husband, William, celebrated 63 years of marriage this year; they were best friends and dedicated to each other and family.
Patricia grew up in the Bronx, New York. She was the eldest of three; she precedes her brothers, Robert and John Doherty. She met Bill when she was 18 and just a few years later they married and started a family. They raised seven children with a lot of patience, love and understanding.

She was a stay-at-home mom for many years but then returned to work in food service at the age of 49. She enjoyed children in the neighborhood for years as a cafeteria manager. She was a hard worker and enjoyed preparing nutritious meals and helping them enjoy the school lunch. She spent her retirement years enjoying water aerobics at Mary Jo Peckham Park, spending time with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved going out for a good Italian meal whenever possible, and traveling. She also enjoyed visiting friends at their lake house on Lake Buchanan.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, and sons, William and Paul Reeves.
She is survived by her husband, Williams Reeves; daughter, Maryellen Reeves Figinsky; daughter-in-law, Joanne Reeves; son, Tom Reeves; son, Chris Reeves and wife Teena; daughter, Janine Nollkamper and husband Alan; daughter, Sheila MacLellan and husband David; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Patricia left a fine example of how to live by her words and actions. Now she can rest in peace. This is not the end, but the beginning. Our comfort lies in the truth, "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord." We thankful, Lord, for the great memories of Patricia you have given us to keep with us all the days of our lives!
Nothing can ever take Patricia away. Her presence made the world a kinder, happier place. Holding her in our hearts makes her stay. We give her once last embrace with love. Now, fly away and enter paradise above.
A mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church, 5356 11th Street, Katy, TX 77493.
