The death of Thomas Rittenhouse occurred at his home on Green street on Friday night, following an illness of pneumonia.

His numerous friends will be grieved to learn of his death. Deceased served his country in France as a member of the 103rd Engineers and saw much active service. He was gassed, which undoubtedly was a detriment to him up to his death.

He was a faithful, member of Anthracite Bible class of the Christian Church of Plymouth, the Young Men's Fraternity Club, also the Junior Mechanics.

Besides his wife and infant child, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rittenhouse, of Plymouth, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John Graham of Westmoor, Mrs. Earl Allabaugh and Mrs. David L. Davies of Edwardsville, Grover of Kingston, and Gertrude at home.

Much sympathy is felt for the young widow and the deceased's parents, inasmuch as this is the second son for them to lose in a short period.

The funeral, which is expected to be military will be held on. Tuesday afternoon. Interment will be in Forty Fort Cemetery.
