Ruth L. (Baker) Fetterman Garmong, 94, of Gilpin Township, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, in her residence. A daughter of the late Lawrence E. Baker and Nellie E. (Parsons) Baker, she was born March 28, 1924, in Warren, Ohio. Ruth had been employed as a seamstress for Big River Industries in Kittanning. She was of the Baptist faith and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Ruth enjoyed sewing, doing yard work, gardening and bird watching. Survivors include her three daughters, Andria Lee Clarey Fetterman, of Charleston, S.C., Gwenneth Rybicki (John), of Leechburg, and Jodie Mottura (Mark), of New Kensington; seven grandchildren, Ryan Clarey (Katie), Melissa Rowan (Justin), Erin Kinney (Jamie), Matthew Mottura (Christina), Katie Verdi (Brian), Rachelle Rybicki, and Kevin Mottura; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William L. Fetterman; and her second husband, Ralph L. Garmong; and a sister, Auga C. Stockton.
There will be no public visitation. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Road, Lower Burrell, with Pastor Sara Wrona officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the CLAWSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
