Mrs. Virgie Lois Bennett, 88 of Rt. 1, Dalton, passed away in Randolph County Medical Center, Monday. She was born Feb. 8, 1894 near Elm Store, a daughter of the late Wm. and Adliza Simmons Looney.
Her husband, Wayne Bennett preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Rufford Bennett of Thayer, MO; and Willard Bennett of Dalton, AR; a daughter, Mrs. Maxine Prewitt of Maryland Heights, MO; a brother, Elgon Looney of Agra, OK; and a sister, Mrs. Mima Drone of Conway, MO; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in Myrtle Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Emmit Smith officiating. Burial followed in Myrtle Cemetery with McNabb's in charge. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
