Thursa was born to Jacob Jefferson and Mary Ann (Terry) Calhoon. On Feb. 13, 1915 she married Samuel C. Kelley in Goreville. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1983. She is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ray Kelley; two great grandchildren; one brother, Oren Calhoon; and one sister, Fannie E. Calhoon.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Goreville all of her life. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lester N. and Margaret Kelley of Nashville, TN, and Bill and Nita Kelley of Goreville; one daughter and son-in-law, Blanche and Pete Ray of Goreville; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
