James N. Wareham, age 77, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. He was born on September 10, 1938 in Mount Vernon, Ohio the son of Dr. Maurice “Morri” and Rebecca (Naylor) Wareham. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy from the University of California Los Angeles and a Bachelor Degree from the Culinary Institute of American in Hyde Park, New York.

James had served as the Director of Respiratory Care for hospitals in Toledo, Kettering and Mansfield and retired in 2006 as a respiratory therapist for Knox Community Hospital. He was a member of the National Board for Respiratory Care and also served on the Ohio Respiratory Care Board. In his spare time, Jim studied ancestry and genealogy and was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes football team. He was also a member of Mount Zion Lodge #9 F&AM.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Fisk) Wareham, a son, John M. (Jenny) Wareham III of Canoga Park, California and a granddaughter, Gibson Grace Wareham.

Besides his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a brother, John M. Wareham and an infant sister.

Friends may call on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. where a Masonic service will begin at 2 p.m. Following a Masonic service there will be a Celebration of Life service with Rev. Chris Kinner officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice or the charity of one’s choice.
