Born at Douglas, Worchester, MA. to Israel Aldrich and Aurillia Ballou. Married Prudence Clark January 18, 1828. One of the Mormon emigrants aboard the ship Brooklyn bound for California. He was a popular song leader aboard the ship. Died of dropsy of the stomach at age 43 yrs. 8 mo. 20 days and was buried at sea.
