Mrs. Shirley Matthews Vickers, 53, of 723 Crater St. died March 23, 1991,

at home. Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at McEwen Funeral Home, Charlotte chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 9 tonight.

Mrs. Vickers, a Union County native, worked at Sears department stores for

five years.

Survivors are her daughter, Miss Michele Vickers; sisters, Mrs. Virginia

Rodden of Stallings, Mrs. Mary Ellen Moore of Weddington, Mrs. Dorothy Sparkes of Fayetteville.
