Funeral services for Ida M. Sill, pioneer resident of Coupeville, were held from the Bartleson Funeral Chapel, Saturday, March 1. The Rev. Alfred J. Waln officiated, with cremation following at the Hawthorne Lawn Memorial Chapel in Mount Vernon.
Ida Alexander Sill was born in Coupeville on Oct. 20, 1883, the daughter of pioneer parents, Abram and Grace Alexander. She died in Island Hospital, Anacortes on Feb. 28.
Mrs. Sill was a charter member of Whidbey Island chapter of the Daughters of the Pioneers of Washington, and had served for years as the chapter's historian. She had been awarded the honor of being selected by the state association as Outstanding Woman of the Year. Mrs. Sill was also a member of Tula Chapter No. 26, Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by one son, Marion E. White of Coupeville; one daughter, Mrs. Lois J. Perkins of Seattle; and one nephew, Albert Alexander of Freeland.

Ida married (1) Robert M. White on February 18, 1903 in Coupeville. She married (2) Lawrence Nelson Sill on March 25, 1933 in Coupeville. Mr. Sill died in 1955.
