He was born April 3, 1895, in Hudson, a son of William and Mary McKinney Ambrose, and spent his boyhood at rural El Pason. He married Nannie Rowan April 16, 1922 at Peoria. He is survived by his wife; a son, Eugene, and two daughters, Wilma Branch and Mary Fitzanko, all of Pekin; and a sister, Ethel Whalen, Bloomington. Three sisters are dead.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin.
