Carolyn Jane (Kay) Golden of Hot Springs soared with her angels on Sunday, March 17, 2019, surrounded by family at the home of her daughter, Lisa and her husband, David Gray. Kay as she was affectionally known was born in Hot Springs on October 13, 1935 to John P. and Mildred Nance Adkins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Doyce Golden; her father, John P. Adkins; mother and step-father, Mildred and Roy Cross; her sister, Nancy Hostetler.

Kay was a graduate of Hot Springs High School. During her working career she served as an Administrative Assistant for several companies for many years.

Kay loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and was an active member of Trinity Church for over 30 years. She enjoyed making people laugh with her witty humor. She had a love for her family, animals, traveling, shopping and socializing with her friends. Her family will cherish the fact that was a very stylish and elegant lady.

Those who will cherish her memories include her daughters, Lisa ( David) Gray of Hot Springs, and Candice (Tom) Russell of Pineville, LA; brother, James “Buddy” (Randi) Adkins of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Alisha (Oswaldo) Oseguera of Hot Springs, Branson Cobb of Bentonville, Gibson and Holt Russell of Pineville, LA, Drew (Pache) Gray of Seattle, WA; Kasey Coleman of Hot Springs, and Landon Gray of Milwaukee, WI; eight great-grandchildren, Alexia, Sophia, Xavi and Jordi Oseguera, Kali, Kennedy, and Carter Coleman all of Hot Springs, Ellie Gray of Seattle, WA; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

We extended our sincere gratitude to Kindred Healthcare and Kay’s two caregivers, Amber Abernathy, and Shawnteria Byers.

In celebration of her life a memorial service will be held at Trinity Church, 670 Panama Street, on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Brother Bobby Thornton officiating. A visitation will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
