On page 132 of A Pictorial History of the Brillharts of America by John A. Brillhart, published in 1926, this Samuel Brillhart is said to be the son of Samuel b. 1757 and Magdalena Danarin. The will of Samuel married to Magdalena Danner dated 6 Mar 1815 indicates they had no children. The will leaves money to two churches, Samuel's siblings and Magdalena's siblings and provides for care of Samuel's sister Annie, who had various infirmities.
Samuel seems to be the son of Joseph Brillhart, who died in 1834, and his wife Esther Bixler. A copy of Joseph's will mentions heirs of a deceased son Samuel, although he did not name these heirs. This Samuel died in 1831 and had children.
