Orville Lee Barker was born in Gideon, Missouri on May 29, 1926 a son to Wilford Barker and Lola Estelle Castleman Barker. He passed on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his home with his family gathered around him at the age of 92.

Mr. Barker and Mrs. Barker was one of the Charter members of the Oppelo First Assembly of God. He loved the quiet nights of reading the bible with his wife, being in the outdoors and he loved honey.
Orville also served in the United States Navy during World War II receiving the Victory Medal.

Mr. Barker is preceded in death by his parents: his wife Evelyn who passed away in December, which they were married 71 years; two sons: Butch Barker, Danny Barker; daughter: Shirley Basenberg; four brothers: James, A.D. Howard, & Harold; and two sisters: Mina Lue and Imogene; and grandson: Zachariah Hansen.



He is survived by: two daughters: Donna Hansen and husband Christopher of Morrilton; Sharon Knight of Adona; Grandchildren: Jarrod Barker, Elisha Rash, John Napalava, Rebekah Lambert, Phillip Basenberg Jr., Sheila Crow, Tonya Hataway, Danny Barker, Monica King, Henry Jordan, April Gribble and Madison Hansen; 23 Great Grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren along with many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00PM to 2:00PM, services will start at 2:00PM, Monday, March 18, 2019 at Oppelo First Assembly of God Church Danny Barker officiating. Interment will follow in Ada Valley Cemetery.
