A graveside service for Charles W. Biggs, age 75 of Dickson will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbia, Tennessee with Bro. Kenny Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until approximately 1:30, leaving in procession to go to Columbia for the graveside service. Mr. Biggs died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Alive Hospice Residence in Murfreesboro.

Charles was born in Bushnell, Florida, son of the late Tommy D. Shaw and Virginia Moore Hodges.

He was a U. S. Army veteran (paratrooper) of the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam era. He was stationed in Germany as well as several other places. He was with the Civil Defense; also was a Reserve Sheriff Deputy in Maury County, Tennessee, a maintenance mechanic at Occidental Chemical Plant in Columbia, and with Walker Die Casting, Inc. in Lewisburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Harris Biggs and by a sister, Wynell Dixon.

He is survived by his daughters, Annette (Larry) Morgan, Dickson, and Robin (Dean) Carroll, Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Debbie (Max) Hicks, Gainesville, FL; brother, Tommy Shaw, Gainesville, FL; grandchildren, Kayla (Jeromy) White, Michael (Kelsey) Carroll, Tristan Carroll (fiancée Ashleigh Fucci), Monica Morgan and Rebecca Morgan; great-grandchildren, Michael Morgan, Cody Hargrove, Celeste Hargrove, Brianna Hargrove, Destiny Hargrove, Madison Sykes, Taylor Sykes, Brayden White, and Kayleigh White; several nieces and nephews.
