Funeral services for Charles William House, age 93 of Charlotte will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Kaye Sweat and Rev. Deshnell Cobbin officiating.

Interment will follow in Dickson County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. House died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Waverly Healthcare Center.

Mr. House was born in Clarksville, Tennessee, son of the late Marcellus and Ezeree Polk House.

He was married to Julia Ethel Oakley House, who predeceased him in 2007. He retired as chief of furniture repair at Owens-Illinois Packaging Corp. Mr. House was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, and he also attended McGavock Chapel AME Church in Charlotte.

He is survived by his son, Mark House (Anna), Chattanooga; a sister, Ruth L. Burney (Richard), Clarksville; three grandchildren, Mark E. House, II, (LaToya), William House (Monteria), and Meridith Green (Kevin), all of Atlanta; and 5 great-grandchildren.
