Raymond Richard Armas, 64 of Downey, passed away on September 29 from complications of pneumonia.

Ray was born in Lynwood, CA on June 27, 1954. He graduated from Warren High School and studied Business Administration at Long Beach City College.

Ray worked as a plasterer for 32 years, a Controller of 2 Hospitals, installation manager for Win Dor Windows until he worked with his son at American Family Bail Bonds.

He enjoyed traveling and meeting people and had traveled to over 13 countries. He loved watching movies and could quote any line from most any movie verbatim. His biggest love was his family and he dedicated his life to their happiness.

Ray is survived by his wife Gaylen, of 34 years, granddaughter Brooke (whom he loved with all his heart), son James, daughter Alicia, brother Paul and nephew Kyle.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Stella Armas.

Visitation is Friday, Oct 5 from 5-9 at Miller Mies Mortuary 10229 Paramount Blvd. Downey. Burial will follow on Monday, Oct. 8 at 11:00 at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach.
