Willie James King Sr., 76, passed away Aug. 31, 2018, at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.
He was born in Troy, Pike County, Alabama, to John Henry King Sr. and Torie Bell Gibson.
Willie was a former member of Masonic Lodge ACCA 78, Orion, Alabama.

Willie was an avid baseball player in Orion, Alabama. He was united in marriage to the late Annie L. Youngblood-King. Willie was a hard worker, provider, awesome and great father and husband. He worked at Emge for 12 years and retired from General Motors, Guide Division.
Willie enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, hunting, dancing, joking around, playing his harmonica, hanging in the garage with his buddies and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Willie James King Jr. (Oleatha) of Anderson; daughter, Shirley Ann King of Anderson; grandsons, Tevin and Trevin of Anderson, and Antonio King; great-grandson, Khalil of Vincennes; brother, John Henry King Jr. of Anderson; two sisters, Betty Woods and Dorothy Baker-Avery of Dayton, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Lexie Ruth King of Anderson, LaVater Briley and Shirley Brunson of Chicago, Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be at noon Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Anderson Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Edgar M. Woodall officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
