Basting, Adele Anne (nee Schmid) Born to Eternal Life at home in the arms of her loving daughter Bernadean and son-in-law James Rice on Wednesday April 23, 2003 at the age of 98 years. Beloved wife of the late Lester W. Basting. Proud grandma of Dr. Jim (Jennifer) Rice M.D. and Anne (Dr. John, M.D.) Grogan. Cherished great grandmother of Katherine Adele, Margaret Rose, and Elizabeth King Rice, Emma Marie, and Grace Catherine Grogan. She will be further remembered and missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Visitation at the Funeral Home Monday April 28, 2003 from 4 until the time of the Recitation of the Rosary at 7PM. Friends may join the family at the funeral home on Tuesday April 29, 2003 for a morning prayer at 9:15 AM followed by a procession to St. Margaret Mary Church, N. 92nd & West Capitol Drive for the funeral mass at 10 AM. Committal and Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, a luncheon immediately following. Adele was a member of the Young at Heart- Christ King Parish and Golden Agers - St. Margaret Mary Parish for many years along with the Parish Christian Women Organization's. Memorials in her name to her church affiliations both St. Margaret Mary and Christ King deeply appreciated.
