Private services were held in Ohio Thursday for long-time desert resident Frances E. Imus, who died the same day following a short illness.
Mrs. Imus, wife of the late Donald Imus, died in the Community Hospital of Bedford, Ohio where she moved seven months ago after living in Palm Springs for 70 years.
She is survived by two sons, Don Imus of New York and Fred Imus of Bedford, and seven grandchildren.
Services were held at the Johnson-Romito Funeral Home in Bedford, with the Rev. Nelson Basil officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Fund.
