Writer, Académicien. Maurice Rostand published his first book at the age of nineteen. Only a year later in 1921 he was able to get Sarah Bernhardt to play the leading part in his theaterpiece "La Gloire" wich became a huge succes as did his plays "Napoleon IV" and "Le pocès d'Oscar Wilde" . His most famous work "L'homme que j'ai tué" was a worlwide succes and was adapted bij Paramount. Altough a lot of Rostand's books had an homosexual background "Le couple ambigu" ,"The angels sadness" they sold very well but Maurice Rostand was never able to get the same amount of fame with his work as his father Edmond Rostand had. In 1948 Maurice Rostand published his memoires "Confession d'un demi-siècle".
