Susan Louise Starkey Hayhurst, 61, of Salem, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Middle Fork River Camp.

She was born November 27, 1953 in Clarksburg, WV; daughter of the late Jack and Betty Lucas Goff.

Susan is survived by two sons, Thomas and Renee Starkey of Grafton, Richie and Lori Starkey of Salem; one daughter, Tammy Starkey and companion, Josh Payne of Salem; five sisters, Jean and Carroll Smarr of Fairview, Diane and Ron Stuttler of Shinnston, Jackie and Will Vernon of Great Falls, MT, Mary Barnhart and companion, Don Klien of Massillon, OH; Debbie and Joe Wilson of Zanesville, OH; one brother, Wilford “Guy” and Becky Goff of Shinnston; two grandsons, Thomas Brent Starkey, Rocky Tyler Starkey all of Beulah, AL; six granddaughters, Dreama Joyce Fergusson of Fairmont, Brooklyne “Nickey” Starkey and boyfriend, Hunter Glover, Makenzie “Baby Bug” Starkey, Emmalee Starkey, Miracle Sue Payne, Trenity Marie Payne all of Salem; Lauren Strother, whom Susan considered a granddaughter, of Salem; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; fiancé Albert Ricouard of Salem; Pastors Majors Brooks and Lori Gilliam of Clarksburg. In 2009, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hayhurst.

Family will receive friends at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike Street, Shinnston, on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 2:00-8:00pm; funeral service will be Friday, July 10, 2015 at 11:00am with Majors Sam and Mary Kay Hearne. Interment in I.O.O.F. Enterprise Cemetery.
