Mrs. Frances Bernice Irene Sobota Summey, 79, of Meridian Place passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She was born on March 17, 1939 to the late Frank and Bernice Eckerfield Sobota in Cleveland, OH. Frances worked as an inspector for Thomasville Furniture Industries for many years. She will be remembered for her hard work ethic, and the love for her family. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Frum and husband Chuck. Surviving are her loving husband of forty years, John Ross Summey of High Point; her daughter, Sue Baisden and husband William Sr. of OH; her son, Jessie Lee King II of FL; her sister, Kathy Folis of OH; nine grandchildren, Steve Billings Jr. and wife Jayme, Christy McCoy and husband Mike Jones, Richard Billings and wife Amanda, Kathy McCoy and husband Stevie, Naomi Baisden and husband Scott, William Baisden Jr., Heather Cramer and husband Karl, Logan King, Layne King; twenty one great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Bynum Orr officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
