LOCAL BALL PLAYER WEDS
Paris, Ill, June 2. - John M. Shymansky, age 23, of Springfield, Ill., and Miss Frances Hann, age 18, of Terre Haute, procured a license and were married in the rectory of St. Mary's Catholic church by the Rev. Father Fallon.
And thereby hangs a tale of interest to all Paris lovers of the national game. Mr. Shymansky played ball with the Paris team of the E.I. league last summer under the name of John McFall. The reason for his passing under an assumed name, it is alleged, is because he was a member of the St. Louis league team and had not been released. To have played under his right name would have involved the risk of being blacklisted.
Mr. Shymansky married under his right name and will still play "good-ballsky."
