Born: April 3, 1925.

Died: March 5, 2019.

Born to Lynn Hoyt Heaton and Lydia Wilson. Preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jean Green; and daughter, Carla Ann Heaton Hughes

Ken passed away at home surrounded by his family. After working at Kennecott Copper, he started his own business, Heaton Roofing. Father and sons worked well together for many years.

Ken served in the House of Representatives, as well as in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He loved to dance and play cards. He participated in sports in his youth and enjoyed watching them later in life (BYU).

Ken devoted his life serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a Stake Mission President, in several bishoprics, and as Bishop. He was on the High Council, a member of the Stake Presidency, and a Stake Patriarch. Ken and Beverly served in the Dearborn Michigan Mission and Ken and Iris served in the South Salt Lake Mission, as well as serving in several temples.

Ken was a strong leader his whole life for his family and friends.

Survived by his wife, Iris Olsen Heaton, and that marriage successfully blended their families: Ken Lynn (Sherie) Heaton, Kathleen (Dan) Brammer, Dennis (Jane) Heaton, Gaylen (Kathy) Heaton, Maureen (Daryl) Olsen, Roy (Shanna) Merrell, David (Eria) Merrell, Rebecca (Greg) Peterson, and Jennifer (Scott) Hendricks; forty-five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and younger brother, Gerry (Kaye) Heaton.

The family would like to thank the Intermountain Hospice Staff, especially Dennis and Padro for their excellent care and love they gave to Ken and the family.
