Al loved going for walks and drinking coffee. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts and Purdue sports fan. Al loved playing the guitar. He loved listening to Rock n Roll. Al had a knack for maintaining equipment and working on cars.
Al is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Hankins of Indianapolis; his sister, Francena G. McDonald of Melbourne, Fl.; his brother, Rex (Sharon) Hankins Jr. of Greenwood; and his grandchild, Micah Connell.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Mary (Penn) Hankins Sr. and his sister, Linda Metella.
A visitation will be Monday, January 14th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a service immediately following at Jessen Funeral Home, 729 N. U.S. Hwy 31, Whiteland.
