Mr. Dennis Lee Adams, 71, of Pilot Mountain passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Surry County, March 21, 1947 to the late Gaston and Irene Simmons Adams. Mr. Adams was employed with Westinghouse for many years prior to ending his career working with the state of North Carolina. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Rebekah “Becky” Welborn Adams; daughter and son-in-law Tara and David Brinkley; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Amber Adams; grandchildren, Aaron Tyler Adams, Hayley Gutierrez, Sheldon Morton, Emily Wood and Eryn Wood; a great granddaughter Alexandria Gutierrez; a sister and brother-in-law Pandola and Ronnie Bunn; brother and sister-in-law Clay and Shelby Adams. In addition to his parents, Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Van and Hilda Adams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Jessup Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Coe and Rev. Barry Clement officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until the time of the service.
