Joy Ann Chitwood, age 63, of Curtis, passed from this life on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born July 15, 1955 in Malvern the daughter of the late Billy Norman and Lorene Marie Parish Quick. Joy retired from Brookshire's Grocery Store after twenty-five years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Joy enjoyed gardening in her free time. She was preceded in death by her parents.



Joy is survived by her husband, David Chitwood of Curtis, three sons, Roger Chitwood (Mary Jane) of New Boston, TX, Brad Chitwood (Melissa) of Gurdon and John David Chitwood (Christy) of Gurdon, nine grandchildren, Alexis, Caitlynne, Bray, Brianna, Brady, Brandi Chitwood, Sherry (Dakota) McCaskill, Shannon Michelli and Trent Keeling, and three great grandchildren, Emmalyn, Bryce and Kutter, three sisters, Janis Vawter (Charlie) of Malvern, Linda Finney (Randy) of Glen Rose and Lareca Dixon (Dennis) of Hot Springs, and one brother, Gary Bright of Bonnerdale.



A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Hyde officiating.



Interment will be in Hart's Chapel Cemetery.
