"The Leader, in chronicling the death of Mr. John T. Bradshaw, realizes that Randolph county, as well as his community and his family, has sustained a loss. A good citizen has laid down his duties. A kind father has been taken from the bosom of a loving family. Mr. Bradshaw was a quiet, genial gentleman, attentive to business and courteous to all. He had met with fair success in life, so that in addition to his good name, he leaves his wife and six children some store of worldly goods. For some time previous to his demise, Mr. Bradshaw had been in feeble health, but his last illness was hardly a week in duration. Friday at noon he died and his remains were interred Saturday afternoon at his home church in Bacon Level."
