Jewell Services To Be Wednesday (corrections: brother Fankey, is Sankey)
Funeral services for Mrs. Cora A. Jewell, 81, of 4518 Baldwin, who died Sunday night will be held at First Methodist church at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
She was born Jun 26, 1870, in Iowa. She lived in Lincoln 35 years and in Nebraska 60 years. Mrs. Jewell was a member of the First Methodist Church W.S.C.S.
Surviving are her husband, C. A. Jewell; a son, Carl of Seattle, Wash; a daughter, Mrs. Laura Tharpe of Farmington, N.M.; brothers, Moody Bacon of Steilacoom, Wash., Fankey Bacon of Darien, Conn., Noel Bacon of Lexington and Daniel B. Fisk of New Sharon, IA.
Rev. Joe Riley Burns will officiate at the service. Robert Gibb will sing. Burial will be at Adams.

Cora Ann Bacon married Charles Astor Jewell on 7 Jan 1892 in Pella, Marion County, Iowa. Cora was the first child of eleven known children born to Marshall & Laura Charity (Fisk) Bacon.
Cora and Charles had three children, Ralph E., Carl Harold, and Laura Charity, all of whom were born in Nebraska. Their eldest, Ralph, died at the age of twenty-two years after a ten day illness during the Influenza flu epidemic after developing complications of encephalitis of the brain.
