HOUTZDALE — George Raymond Love, 77, former mayor and councilman of Houtzdale, died Tuesday, May 28, at 5:55 p. m. in the Good Samaritan Hospital at Portland, Ore.

He had resided with his son. Donald, and family at 5222 NE Simpson St, Portland, since resigning his post as mayor three years ago.

In addition to serving as mayor, Mr. Love served several terms on Borough Council and as president of that body He was a retired mine foreman and was formerly employed at the Brookwood Shaft

He was a member and an elder of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of Osccola Lodge No. 515, Free and Accepted Masons, and the Williamsport Consistory.

A son of James and Ann (Abernathy) Love, he was born at Houtzdale June 8, 1891.

In addition to his son, he is survived by three grandsons and a brother and two sisters James and Mrs. Lester McClain. both of Robertsdale, and Mis. Ralph Speck of Huntingdon

His wife, Rae, and a son. Dean, preceded him in death.

Friends will be received intomorrow from 11 a m. to 2 p. m. When services will be conducted by the Rev. Louis W Lytle. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery al Brisbin. the Raymond M. Hayes Funeral Home until 10 o'clock this evening. Masonic memorial services will be conducted at 7:30 p. m.
