She attended Victory School Consolidated #11 where she was active in band, basketball and softball. In high school, she was a cheerleader and in 1935, at the age of 14, she was Maid of Cotton. She continued her education at Frederick Junior College in Frederick.
On November 30, 1941, she was united in marriage to Joe Dwight White in the rural Victory Community on the Briggs Home Place. He preceded her in death in 1994. Frances was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Davidson until it closed, and she then moved her membership to Frederick.
She is survived by one son, Joe. D. White and his wife Gayle of Frederick; two daughters, Sherry Bianchi of Norman and Judy Smart and her husband Galen of Davidson; nine grandchildren, Carrie Utley and her husband Terry, Mary Steele and husband Brad, Trisha Gresser and her husband Steve, Sonny Smart and his wife Erin, Sandy Tucker and her husband Chris, Amy Phillips and her husband Aaron, Jessica Lewis and her husband Justin, Whitney Bell and her husband Brandon and Austin White and his fiancé, Allie Wilson; nineteen great-grandchildren; two nephews, Galen Briggs, Jr. and Steve Briggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe White; one brother, Galen Briggs; and a son-in-law, Gary Bianchi.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sonny Smart and Pastor Chris Tucker officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.
